“I’m not kidding when I say that you all have literally changed my life. If it weren’t for the Filmmaker Lab, I would probably still be thinking that I’m incapable of even holding a camera without breaking it (nonetheless making a DOCUMENTARY) and still wouldn’t have an inkling of an idea on how to both pursue my passions and have a viable career without sacrificing one or the other.”
—Niki Joshi, 2018 Filmmaker Lab Participant
It’s time for the second edition of the AT&T Hello Sunshine Filmmaker Lab, produced by Fresh Films!
Last year, teenage girls from across the country came together to film a documentary short about women who have made great strides in the film industry. The 2019 AT&T Hello Sunshine Filmmaker Lab will again bring together 20 young women from across the country to learn from inspiring women in the entertainment industry while creating professional content.
The 20 selected aspiring female filmmakers will have the chance to come to Los Angeles to learn filmmaking under the guidance of mentors and professional creators. From lights, camera and audio, to directing, producing and even editing, you’ll learn what it takes to produce a documentary short from the ground up! Apply now through June 2!
